LinkedScope MCP connects your AI assistant to your account’s data and actions.
Analyze ads, companies, leads and CRM, create and adjust LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns, and execute changes after reviewing what will happen.
- Where to manage: Settings > Integrations > AI apps
- Who can use it: authorized account users; write actions require Owner, Admin or Manager and the appropriate scope
- Requirements: the Professional or Enterprise plan, or the 15-day free trial, and permissions on connected platforms
What can I do with MCP?
Start with a business question and move toward a proposed action. The assistant can combine reads, while identifying the account, channel, period and coverage of each result.
| Goal | What to ask |
|---|---|
| Understand results | Compare LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns, ad sets and ads; explore LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads Search/PMax and Meta Ads diagnostics, including a Meta pixel check. |
| Prepare a campaign | Create campaigns, ad sets or ad groups in LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads (Search and Display) and Meta Ads, with compatible targeting, objectives, budgets, dates, bidding and settings. LinkedIn Ads items start as drafts; Google Ads and Meta Ads items start paused. |
| Create or improve ads | Prepare copy, reuse owned content, create ads without delivery and edit the fields each format permits. |
| Organize audiences and capture interest | Read, create, edit and apply LinkedIn Ads saved audiences; prepare lead forms and conversions in all three channels, and LinkedIn Ads UTMs. |
| Prioritize sales work | Read companies and job titles reached by LinkedIn Ads, intent signals, leads and deals; qualify leads and prepare opportunities in supported CRMs. |
| Execute approved actions | Pause or activate selected items, organize target accounts and exclusions, sync contact audiences, manage Google Ads keywords, extensions and negatives, and adjust Meta Ads audiences, placements, budgets and schedules, where supported. |
How are tools organized by channel?
The catalog groups LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads and Meta Ads tools by function. The assistant specifies the channel for each read or action and uses the fields that platform accepts.
You can keep asking in plain language, naming the account and channel you want to analyze.
| Function | Supported channels |
|---|---|
| Configuration options and targeting discovery | LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads and Meta Ads |
| Create and edit campaigns, ad sets and ads, including pause and activation | LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads and Meta Ads |
| Current campaign, ad set and ad configuration | LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads and Meta Ads |
| Detailed diagnostics | LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads and Meta Ads |
| Pre-activation checks | LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads and Meta Ads |
| Advanced editing of native fields, such as keywords, extensions and placements | Google Ads and Meta Ads |
| Action receipt reconciliation | Google Ads and Meta Ads; pause and activate actions in LinkedIn Ads |
For Meta Ads, detailed diagnostics cover delivery and the learning phase, frequency and creative fatigue, quality rankings, placements, conversions and the pixel: they flag accounts without a pixel, pixels with no events in the last 7 days and conversion-optimized ad sets without one.
Advanced editing complements creation and editing in Google Ads and Meta Ads, whose APIs publish the complete map of accepted fields.
In LinkedIn Ads, every change the MCP supports goes through the creation, editing, pause and activation tools.
A shared function does not make fields, formats, metrics or limits identical across platforms.
LinkedIn Ads saved audiences, Google Ads keyword planning and other specialized features retain their own tools.
If your assistant still lists separate tools for each platform, refresh its catalog or reopen the connection.
Previous names remain accepted for compatibility, including existing confirmations.
Account permissions, preview review and your confirmation still apply; consolidation does not authorize changes automatically.
How do I prepare my account?
- Connect the sources you want to read and select the correct advertiser in LinkedScope.
- Save and review your company briefing and ICP. Both are required for business-aligned targeting and content proposals.
- Check your role, plan and integration permissions. A read connection does not authorize creation or editing.
- For new LinkedIn Page content, grant the requested permissions. An older connection may need reconnection to include posting access, alongside the required Page role.
How do I connect my assistant?
Use a client that supports remote MCP over HTTP and this URL:
https://mcp.linkedscope.com
Claude
In Claude (web or desktop app), open Settings > Connectors and select Add custom connector.
Enter LinkedScope and the server URL, sign in with your LinkedScope account and enable the connector in your conversation. Once added, it is also available in the mobile app.
On team plans, an organization owner may need to add it first.
Claude Code
Add the server in your terminal, then use /mcp inside Claude Code to authorize the connection:
claude mcp add --transport http linkedscope https://mcp.linkedscope.com
ChatGPT
In ChatGPT on the web, open Plugins, select +, then Add custom MCP server. Enter LinkedScope and the server URL, choose OAuth, review the notice and create the plugin.
Install it and authorize with your LinkedScope login. Select the plugin in your conversation.
Workspace permissions and ChatGPT account options apply. See the official ChatGPT instructions.
Codex
Add the server and start OAuth authorization in your terminal:
codex mcp add linkedscope --url https://mcp.linkedscope.com codex mcp login linkedscope
Complete the browser login. The official Codex documentation also covers configuration and inspecting connected servers.
Cursor
In Cursor Settings, open the MCP section and add a new server, or add the snippet below to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json for a single project).
On the first request, Cursor opens the LinkedScope login in your browser:
{
"mcpServers": {
"linkedscope": { "url": "https://mcp.linkedscope.com" }
}
}The official Cursor documentation covers configuration and inspecting connected servers.
Other clients and automations
In clients supporting remote MCP and OAuth, add the URL and sign in with LinkedScope.
For compatible automations, an Admin can create a personal access token in AI apps and configure Bearer authentication in the client.
Choose the smallest necessary scope and store it in the tool’s credentials, never in chats or shared files. Write actions still require confirmation.
What are the technical details of the connection?
Reference for anyone configuring clients, automations or custom integrations.
- Endpoint and transport:
https://mcp.linkedscope.com, using Streamable HTTP transport. - Interactive authentication: OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration. Access tokens last 1 hour and refresh tokens rotate.
- Automations: personal access tokens valid for 1 to 365 days, with read or write scope, sent as a Bearer token.
- Channel: unified tool families take a
channelparameter (linkedin, googleormeta), and each function accepts only the channels it supports.
For example,get_paid_media_diagnostic_summaryacceptslinkedinandgoogle;get_paid_media_resourcesacceptsgoogleandmeta.
Fields and limits follow each platform. - Writes: require an explicit account (
accountId), produce a preview and run only throughconfirm_action. - Status:
get_action_statusreads the progress recorded in LinkedScope by default. For native verification in Google Ads and Meta Ads, sendincludeNativeEvidence=trueand the action’schannel. - Reconciliation:
reconcile_paid_media_actioncorrects only an action’s record, with a new preview and confirmation, without resending the operation to the platform. - Catalog updates: reload the tool list in your client (see how in each assistant). Previous names remain accepted for compatibility.
How do I create a complete campaign with ads?
Describe the offer, audience, budget, intended date and destination. Specify which owned assets to use. Illustrative example:
Use our briefing and ICP to prepare a LinkedIn Ads website-visits campaign with two image ads and a $100 daily budget. Use approved library images and our demo page. Show the proposal, request my confirmation at each stage and leave everything as a draft.
- Review the plan: check the account, objective, audience and exclusions, language, account-currency amounts, bidding, dates with timezone, copy, images and URLs.
Specify future dates explicitly; activation and the eligible delivery start are separate decisions. - Create the campaign: approve its preview. The campaign starts as a draft; this does not automatically create ad sets or ads.
- Create the ad set: review its destination campaign and settings. Include conversion associations or UTMs in the approved scope and check each stage’s result.
- Prepare media: reuse a compatible owned asset or approve its upload separately. Wait for native availability.
- Create the ads: review the complete content and confirm the batch. Ads remain drafts, without delivery.
- Check and activate: ask for the pre-activation check, which flags account billing holds, ad sets without ads, budgets, dates, ads under review or rejected, and unassociated conversions.
If you decide to run them, request and confirm campaign, ad-set and ad activation separately.
Native approval, processing, billing and platform rules still apply.
A complete-campaign request guides the sequence. It does not replace confirmation for each operation.
Results identify created items, available IDs and any pending or failed configuration stages.
Google Ads and Meta Ads follow the same sequence: campaigns, ad groups or ad sets and ads are created paused, and a pre-launch check lists anything still missing, such as conversions, audiences or ad assets.
Google Ads creation covers Search and Display campaigns.
Which formats and files can I use?
In LinkedIn Ads, check current ad-set options before creation.
Workflows cover image, video, carousel, document, article, event, dynamic formats, Message Ads, Conversation Ads and VAST/CTV with specific requirements, plus compatible owned posts.
Eligibility varies by objective, format, account, Page and permissions; the list does not mean every combination is supported.
New uploads accept a public HTTPS URL for a JPEG/PNG, MP4 or PDF file up to 50 MiB. The AI uses your files: it does not generate images, transcode video or transform documents.
Uploading does not create an ad. Reuse an asset only after native processing finishes and reports it available.
Google Ads accepts JPEG/PNG images up to 5 MiB or HTML5 bundles up to 600 KiB. Meta Ads accepts JPEG/PNG images and MP4 videos up to 50 MiB, plus carousels and existing account creatives.
Edits preserve omitted fields and status. Not every field is editable: replacing post media, changing shared content or editing reviewed/live messaging may be unavailable.
The assistant should check compatibility before proposing changes.
How do forms, conversions and UTMs work?
- Forms: in LinkedIn Ads, creation produces a draft with approved questions, privacy, consent, hidden and thank-you fields.
Publication is separate, with full review and native published-state verification.
It does not activate ads or edit published forms.
In Google Ads, a form is created and then linked to the selected campaigns in a separate confirmation; in Meta Ads, it is created on the connected Page. - Conversions: LinkedIn Ads URL rules are created enabled, without drafts.
Review exact, starts-with or contains matching, condition combinations, attribution windows and values.
Ad-set association is optional and must be approved.
Creating a rule does not install the Insight Tag, send events or prove a sale.
Google Ads supports conversion actions, and Meta Ads supports custom conversions from an existing pixel.
No channel installs tags through these actions. - UTMs: configure static and dynamic values on compatible LinkedIn Ads ad sets. Review the complete map: replacement may remove previous parameters. This operation does not support Message Ad or Conversation Ad UTMs.
What should I check before confirming?
Check the selected account, destination items, complete preview and effects. Editing active ad sets or ads may affect delivery or trigger review.
Saving or editing an audience does not change campaigns; applying it replaces complete targeting, including exclusions. Later template edits do not update ad sets automatically.
If execution is partial, pending or uncertain, inspect status and already-created resources before trying again.
Do not repeat creation to compensate for native processing or CRM snapshot delays.
Action status shows progress recorded in LinkedScope.
For Google Ads and Meta Ads actions, and when pausing or activating items in LinkedIn Ads, you can also explicitly ask the assistant to verify them on the platform.
If the evidence supports correcting an uncertain receipt, reconciliation requires a separate preview and your confirmation: it updates the action receipt without resending the operation, recreating resources or activating campaigns.
Insufficient evidence remains uncertain.
What are the limits?
Creating and editing campaigns and ads is available in LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads and Meta Ads, according to each platform’s API and account.
Google Ads creation covers Search and Display; Performance Max supports diagnostics and negatives, while automated recommendations and experiments are out of scope.
Company/job-title reach and Pipeline Impact are LinkedIn Ads specific.
In LinkedIn Ads, this workflow does not provide Thought Leader Ad creation, Single Job Ads, newsletter authoring, weekly day/hour scheduling or automatic copying of an entire campaign hierarchy.
Campaign creation supports eligible BUSINESS advertisers; Enterprise/reservation and other special configurations are outside scope. MCP does not replace every ad manager feature.
Compare periods, filters, currencies, coverage and update times.
Company reach and deal links provide exposure and relationship evidence; they do not prove that an ad caused a sale or identify anonymous website visitors.
How do I resolve access problems?
- Missing tool: refresh the catalog or reopen the assistant connection.
Look for the shared function and specify the channel; an older platform-specific name may no longer be listed.
Also check that the feature is part of your plan (Spark Prospects, Target Accounts and Contacts are Enterprise features) and the channels that function supports. - Permission denied: check user, account, role, scope and platform access. New Page content may require a consented reconnection.
- Outdated preview: request and review a new preview; changed data or context may invalidate the previous confirmation.
- Media processing: inspect the same asset and wait. Do not upload again to speed it up.
- Partial or uncertain outcome: retain IDs and inspect action status before repeating any stage.
Frequently asked questions
Does one connection cover all my clients?
You can select accounts you are already authorized to access. Each call checks the selected account. Client comparisons use separate reads and identify where the results came from.
Does MCP use credits?
Free campaign, audience and ad reads/actions have no tool-credit debit. Paid features show their cost in the preview.
Your external assistant has its own billing, in-app chat follows LinkedScope credit rules and the advertising platform bills ad spend.
How do I revoke access?
An Admin manages connections and tokens in AI apps and can block a user’s account access. Revoking a token prevents new calls with that credential.
Also check the connected assistant’s settings.
Is my data used to train models?
LinkedScope does not use your data to train models. Tool results are sent to your connected assistant and are also subject to that service’s policies and your account settings.
